Middletown festival to highlight safety and wellness

Next month, the City of Middletown will hold the Middletown Kids Health & Safety Day to spread awareness and knowledge about children’s wellbeing and safety in various situations and environments.

The city’s health, fire, police, and recreation department will sponsor the event to provide a safe, welcoming atmosphere for community members to access important safety and health information and resources. Children and their caregivers will be able to visit interactive exhibits centering around different health and safety topics. There will be child identification booth set up along with a car seat clinic and various health screenings. The Kiwanis Bicycle Rodeo will engage children in a fun way to learn about bicycle safety, and free bike helmets will also be given out.

Other entertainment includes bounce houses, spin art, sand art, Ride on a Toy Fire Truck, a police remote car, and live music and DJs. Refreshments include carnival-style food such as popcorn and cotton candy. Community events like this often attract the attention of local sponsors wishing to support the event and gain more visibility with potential customers. These sponsors may provide Promotional Products for festival giveaways.

The free community safety festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 13 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. It will be held at 222 Main Street, Middletown, right in front of the police station.
