Middletown Fashion Week will take place next month, and one of the days will be dedicated to a Thrifty Fashion Showcase, displaying the best outfits found at local thrift stores.
Middletown Fashion Week will be four nights of diverse fashion showcases, ranging from high-end fashion to thrift-store looks. The event will attract talented designers from across the country, as well as highlight local designers at premier Middletown venues. Other activities will include the Visual Art Showcase, Model Party, a branding event, numerous fashion parties, meet-and-greets, networking sessions, and the Best Dress Runway Competition.
Each presentation at the Thrifty Fashion Show will showcase a unique, chic look created from clothes sourced from Middletown’s various thrift stores. Each of these outfits will be available for purchase after the show. Those interested in similar pieces or outfits will also have the opportunity to visit the presenter and learn about where they can purchase such pieces.
Fashion events often rely heavily on visual advertising, such as poster advertising, to drum up interest in the event. As such, organizers may visit their local Print shops specializing in poster printing to help with preparation.
The thrift fashion show is scheduled for Thursday, April 20 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. It will take place at 9 Pleasant Street. General admission is $25, while vendor registration is $75.
