This December, Middletown will have the chance to do some holiday shopping while also supporting a local horse rescue program during the Sumner Brook Farm’s Holiday Shopping Fair.
Sumner Brook Farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to rescue neglected, mistreated, or retired horses, saving them from a life at the auction or slaughterhouse. The organization then rehabilitates these animals and provides them with a safe environment and lifelong retirement home. Sumner Book Farm will be hosting its holiday shopping event to raise money for its rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
The shopping fair will feature over 20 local vendors and artisans selling handmade crafts, home furnishings, vintage furniture, wood Signs, jewelry, and candles. Some participating vendors are Kim’s Creations, Refinished Furniture, Salem Wood Shop, and Vintage Vine Shoppe. There will also be a teacup raffle to participate in, and the first 40 attendees will receive a free shopping tote. Holidays fairs like this often use banner printing services to create festive items to decorate the venue.
The Holiday Shopping Fair is scheduled for December 4 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Attendance is free, but donations are accepted online through PayPal or by Mailing them to Sumner Brook Farm Inc. at the address 874 Millbrook Road, Middletown, Connecticut 06457. The fair will be at the Sumner Brook Farm’s indoor riding arena.
