An event that can help Middletown to make the most of the lazy days of the end of summer is on the way, and it promises to put Connecticut front and center.
For one day only, the vista at Wadsworth Mansion will be transformed into a huge outdoor marketplace, and it will feature items crafted right in the state. The products that will be on offer will be either produced or grown in Connecticut, and a musical experience and fun for the kids are also on the agenda.
Visitors to the site can browse through the vendor tents, stopping at any that catch their eye. They can meet with the vendors, gather Business Cards and Promotional Products and perhaps even find some treasures to purchase and take home with them.
Prepared food, produce, jewellery, pottery, works of art, clothing and many other handmade goods will be included. For a break, the guests can visit the lawn and take in the live music while they relax over lunch.
Along with the market and music, attendees will be offered docent-led tours of the house. This will give insight to the community’s past in a fun and educational way.
This chance for the area to join together and bid summer a fond farewell will be held on August 30. The doors are scheduled to open at 10:00 am .
