Loans available to Middletown business owners

Businesses owners in Middletown who are looking to expand will now have access to increased levels of funding to help them.

The Middlesex County Revitalization Commission (MCRC) has recently been granted additional money by the Connecticut Small Business Express Program (EXP) to use in helping small companies grow. This assistance comes in the loans, and is available to enterprises that meet certain criteria.

In order to be eligible, a company must have at least some of its facilities located in and employ people in the Middlesex County. It must also have been registered and allowed to conduct business in the state for at least a year, and be up to date of both its local and state taxes. The monies loaned can be used for working capital or to make additions and improvements to buildings or equipment.

Those who are considering applying for a loan through the program are encouraged to discuss their plans with local Middleton officials. Any business Forms that might be needed in this situation, such as applications, budget sheets, personal financial statements and more can be provided by a Print company.

Anyone who would like to learn more details about the MCRC or to download an application form are invited to visit the Middlesex Chamber’s webpage or contact Jeff Pugliese, who is the chamber’s MCRC administrator.
