The Middletown High School Key Club is to donate $1,000 to the Kiwanis Warm the Children program.
A service leadership organization, the Key Club is involved in service projects during the school year, in addition to holding various fundraisers. At the club’s meeting on October 23, members decided to take $1,000 of the monies they have on hand and give it to Middletown Kiwanis Club to purchase warm clothes for children in need in the community.
A big fundraiser for the Key Club is the annual Powder Puff football game. Last year, the club collected around 500lb of non-perishable food in addition to collecting cash donations. The food was donated to Amazing Grace Food Pantry. Other regular recipients of the club's largess include Walk for Hunger and Adopt a Family.
Annual events like this, which provide both entertainment and a way of helping the less fortunate members of a community, are eagerly anticipated all year long. Using a banner printing service can help ensure that interested members of the community are aware of when it is taking place.
This year the Middletown High School Key Club hopes to collect 1,000lb of food and raise $5,000 at the Powder Puff game, which is to be held on November 24 at 7:00 pm. Further info can be found on the Key Club’s website.
