This August, the historic Wadsworth Mansion at Long Hill Estate will host the Wadsworth Mansion Open Air Market & Festival as a chance for the Middletown community members to enjoy a traditional market experience.
Wadsworth Mansion is a historic 16,000-sqaure-foot classical revival-style house. A quintessential country estate, it is situated in 103 acres of woodland framed by elegantly designed landscaping.
The Open Air Market and Festival will give the public a chance to tour and enjoy this impressive dwelling and its woodlands while also communing with their fellow community members. The mansion will transform into a marketplace where vendors will sell their locally grown or created products. Attendees will be able to peruse fresh produce, cheese, breads, fruit, and homemade foods. Guests are also encouraged to lounge on the sprawling lawn as live music plays on the patio. There will be children's entertainment and docent-led tours of the mansion as well.
