The Yard Goats, Hartford's minor league baseball team, is getting ready to move into its permanent home at Dunkin' Donuts Park, and the front office staff started the process by moving on Saturday, March 4.

Employees spent most of the day moving office supplies, team paraphernalia, and personal items into their new offices, which are on the second floor of the park and overlook Pleasant Street.

The team's general manager, Tim Restall, said he did not need an alarm clock to wake up that morning. In fact, he got to the park about 7:00 am, two hours before his employees, and was happy to show off the new offices to visitors. The first item Restall put up was the schedule of upcoming games.

The stadium, which cost $71m and was financed by the public, was scheduled to open March 11, 2016. Instead, cost overruns, construction delays, and a change in developers stalled progress, leaving the various components of the organization scattered because the office personnel worked in a Pratt Street location, the team store remained on Trumbull Street, and the team itself was on the road the entire year.

With the front office open now, the team store should open shortly, and the team itself should arrive April 1.
