Double A baseball team the Yard Goats have finalized their move from New Britain to Hartford, where they'll play starting next year.
The team has put inaugural season tickets on sale, and a number of packages are available to fans.
The seats come in all price ranges, but most require that the purchaser commit to a multi-year option. For instance, season tickets to field Boxes start at $710 for the 71 games, or $10 per game, but the purchaser is required to commit to buying tickets for four years. However, the team expects this price point to be the one most fans will buy.
There are much pricier options available for those who want to watch the games in luxury. Seats in the Home Plate Club go for $1,633 per ticket, and require a commitment of three years; the price drops to $1,491 if the buyer makes a five-year commitment.
Front Row Field Boxes, which are the best places for autograph hounds to sit, can be had for $994 per ticket for four years, or $1,065 per ticket for a two-year option. These prices, says Tim Restall, general manager of the New Britain Rock Cats, are in line with those at similar ballparks in the area.
