Two bands from the Midwest are swinging through the east on the “You'll Be Fine” tour.
Hot Mulligan hails from Lansing, Michigan, and is a pop punk/emo band. Their companion on the tour, Heart Attack Man, is a rock band from Cleveland. Pop punk is a subgenre of punk rock that mixes some of the rapid tempos of punk with the melodies found in power pop. It tends to draw from the music of the major bands of the 1960s, including the Beach Boys, the Kings, and the Beatles, and is different from other punk rock subgenres.
Since 2015, Hot Mulligan has released a number of EPs and two albums. Their first, “Pilot” came out in 2018, and the second, “You'll Be Fine,” which the tour supports, was released in 2020.
The founder of Heart Attack Man, Eric Egan, was not completely serious about starting a band, and created the group as a solo endeavor. However, they began playing shows, and soon began performing regularly. Their debut album, “The Manson Family,” came out in 2017, and in 2019, they released their second album, “Fake Blood.” The sophomore effort is more focused than the first release, as the group began to coalesce.
The concert is scheduled for November 28, at 7.30 pm, at the Webster Underground in Hartford. The doors open an hour earlier. Flyer printing can provide handouts to advertise events like this.
