What's Happening in Hartford, CT…

For the sixth year in a row, Tommy's Tattoo Convention is coming to Hartford's Connecticut Convention Center.

The convention brings tattoo artists together with people who would like to get a tattoo, or who just want to learn more about the practice. In addition to tattoo experts, the event features performances, music, and more.

On the roster of experts are some of the stars of ‘Ink Master’, a reality television show. The list includes Ulysses Blair, James Vaughn, Julia Carlson, Jackie Jennings, Gian Karle, Eva Huber, and Chris Bliston. Other artists expected to attend are Takashi Matsuba, Stefano Alcantaro, Myke Chanbers, Justin Coppolino, Joe Meinwieser, James Mullin, and Amy Nicoletto.

In addition to the tattoo artists themselves, there will be a number of vendors on hand, selling everything from T-Shirts to tattoo supplies. Also attending the event is actor Robert Mukes, probably best known as Rufus ‘R.J.’ Firefly, Jr., from the film ‘House of 1000 Corpses’. He is also appeared in the television series ‘Weeds’ and ‘Westworld’.

Live music is also on the bill, with In the Red and Shovelhead, among others, due to appear. Throughout the weekend, registration will be open for a tattoo contest, with the final judging on the last day of the event.

The convention runs October 13-15. Gatherings like this, with many different events going on, can benefit if organizers work with a flyer printing company to create a handout with a schedule for attendees' use.
