The Fit for a King: Dark Skies Tour comprises Chelsea Grin, Crystal Lake, and Alpha Wolf. The three bands are all are considered deathcore or metalcore.
Chelsea Grin was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2007, with Michael Stafford, Austin Marticorena, Chris Kilbourn, and Alex Koehler as the first members. Chelsea Grin is a deathcore band, a term that refers to a subgenre of extreme metal that blends two other styles – metalcore and death metal. Themes explored by artists in this genre often include philosophy, political conflict, nature, and science fiction.
A review of Chelsea Grin noted that although the members have changed, the band
“…hasn't lost any of the characteristics that made them one of the most well-known bands in deathcore.”
Crystal Lake is a metalcore band from Japan that formed in Tokyo in 2002. They are sometimes described as a nu-metal band, a style that blends several genres. In this case, nu-metal adds elements of other styles like grunge and hip-hop to heavy metal.
Alpha Wolf is an Australian band that is also in the metalcore category. They formed in Tasmania and are now based in Melbourne. They have released several EPs, a number of singles, and more than 10 music videos.
The performance is set to start at 6:00 pm on March 19, at Hartford's Webster Theater. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for events like this.
