Hartford to offer seminar on Connecticut Green Bank

HEDCO, Inc. will be organizing a presentation in Hartford to introduce local professionals to the nation’s first green bank.

Introduction to the Connecticut Green Bank is a program where people can learn about the organization from its senior manager Peter Ludwig. During the presentation, guests will be told what different green solutions the state makes available for their homes. The lecture will also apply to commercial contractors, small business owners, and those who own multifamily properties. Attendees can ask Ludwig questions about the Connecticut Green Bank once the presentation is finished.

HEDCO, Inc. is a non-profit group formed in 1975 with the mission of providing support to businesses and promoting economic growth. Kim Hawkins is the organization’s president, and Patricia Geronimo is the chief financial officer. Since its formation, the group has impacted over 75 communities and approved more than 1,000 loans. The organization also offers a Business 101 resource that teaches small business owners about topics like securing financing and marketing techniques.

The presentation on the Connecticut Green Bank will be held on Wednesday, December 14 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. There is no cost for attending Ludwig’s lecture, though guests are asked to pre-register. People may also participate in the presentation virtually through Zoom. Instructors offering classes like this may bring Business Cards to the seminar to promote their organizations to guests.
