Hartford to host sports medicine symposium

Select Physical Therapy will be organizing a medical conference in August at Rentschler Field in Hartford.

The 28th Annual Sports Medicine Symposium is a program where medical professionals like athletic trainers and physical therapists can learn new approaches to rehabilitation. The event will cover updates on the differences between surgical and non-surgical treatments for body parts like knees and ankles. Kevin Wilk will be the keynote speaker for the symposium. After the event, people can meet at the venue’s beer tent to network with their fellow attendees.

Select Physical Therapy is part of a large physical therapy network that has nearly 2,000 outpatient centers across the United States. The brand is owned by the Select Medical Outpatient Division, a community-based provider of physical therapy that owns other notable brands like the Emory Rehabilitation Outpatient Center and NovaCare Kids Pediatric Therapy. People may use Select Physical Therapy to address pain in areas like the shoulders, back, and legs.

The sports medicine symposium will be on Tuesday, August 1 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Discounted admission to the event will cost $140. Students can pay $60 to enter the conference. Companies interested in becoming a lunch sponsor for the event can pay $2,000. Vendors can reserve a table space for $500. Businesses that attend similar symposiums may use banner printing to improve the look of their booths.
