Hartford will hold its annual tasting festival in June at the Constitution Plaza.
The Hartford Taste Festival is a two-day event where people can enjoy food and music with other community members. More than 30 restaurants will be at the fest, including El Gallo y El Coqui, No Pork On Dis Fork, and the Plan B Burger Bar. The organizer will cover the vendor fees for all participating eateries to allow them to share their dishes with the public. This year, the performers at the event will include The Slick Tones, Joey Batts, and Last Night’s Fun.
Companies are encouraged to participate in the festival by treating their employees to lunch or dinner. The organizers have partnered with MetroHartford Alliance to create a program where businesses can place their orders at the event in advance. Tickets for lunches will cost $20 per person, and tickets for dinners will be $25. Beverages will cost extra. Bulk orders start at $250. The food tokens will be mailed to participating companies before the fest.
The tasting festival will be held from June 9 to June 10 and will last from noon to 9:00 pm. Guests do not need to pre-register to take part in the event. There is no designated parking lot for the fest, though attendees will have convenient access to nearby parking garages and on-street parking spaces. Festivals such as this may be promoted to cities by using banner printing.
