Hartford will be holding a Caribbean-themed experience in August at the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza.
The Taste of the Caribbean & Jerk Festival is an event where people can learn about Caribbean culture through live performances and authentic cuisine. This year, the fest will feature entertainers like Greg Roy, Janice M. Hart, and The Tribal Legacy Band. People can also visit the Caribbean Travel Village to plan regional trips. Nutritionists and health care professionals will be stationed at the Healthy Body Pavilion to help attendees get fit.
Another attraction at the Caribbean festival is the Children Village, which offers kids family-friendly activities such as hula hooping, face painting, and limbo. The children’s section of the fest will also introduce youth to games like ludo and dominos. Booths will be set up for arts and crafts projects, and kids may participate in the inaugural TOC Children Talent Competition. The village will also have bounce stations available for visiting children.
The cultural festival will be held on Saturday, August 6th from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. There is no fee to access the fest. Businesses interested in supporting the festival can pay $2,500 to become a bronze sponsor or $5,000 to be a silver sponsor. The title sponsorship package can be bought for $12,000. Organizers for festivals like this may honor their sponsors by including their Logo Design on all Flyers and Banners made for the event.
