The School of Ballet Hartford will be bringing a special guest in January to visit with students and teach some classes.
The Kathryn Morgan & Friends event is an in-person experience where aspiring dancers can interact and learn from an experienced ballerina. Morgan is a performer who has been featured in publications such as Teen Vogue and Dance Spirit Magazine. She also performed in the New York City Ballet and Miami City Ballet. A few of the awards she has earned during her career include the Movado Future Legends Award and Janice Levin Award.
The School of Ballet Hartford will have Morgan teach an intermediate class and advanced class during her visit. Both sessions are made up of eight lessons and will include photos and a Q&A with Morgan. Students will also get to have a five-minute photo session for taking audition shots and will receive a welcome bag from the studio. The intermediate course is intended for children aged 10-14, and the advanced course is for dancers 15 and up who want a professional career.
The classes will be held on January 8 and January 9. Tickets for the intermediate and advanced sessions will cost students $400, while adult tickets can be bought for $200. No refunds are given for the program. Ballet schools similar to this may market their dance lessons to others with flyer printing.
