Arvada venue to host childrens music troupe

The Arvada Center is hosting a performance by the children’s music troupe Farmer Dave and Animal Farm.

Touting their catalogue as grown-up music for children, the genre-melding band is known for their songs that touch upon themes of community, emotional regulation, socializing, the environment, and expressing oneself.

Through the group’s YouTube channel, simply called Animal Farm, they have churned out content that includes comedy elements, education, and entertainment. “The Hippo Song,” “Snow Bird,” and “Hop Like a Kangaroo” have all amassed tens of thousands of views on the channel.

Their catalogue includes putting their own spin on classics like “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” as well as original songs, including “Cranky Pants.”

The band’s live concerts have also earned a reputation for bringing a high-energy stage presence designed to appeal to listeners of all ages and encourage audience participation.

The concert will take place in the Arvada Center’s The Front Room, which is a former ballroom that has been converted into an intimate theatrical space for performances, complete with open seating and drinks available for purchase. It’s a smaller-scale alternative to the larger Outdoor Amphitheatre at the venue.
