Both Arvada runners and the general public have been issued a challenge to enjoy a day out in the fresh air and sunshine while they run to help local people in need.
The Resolute Runner 5k will see both individuals and teams participating in an effort to support the Arvada Community Food Bank. The organizers of the day noted that the route for the event has been chosen, in part, because it will offer both the runners and the spectators a chance to enjoy the scenery of the local area.
Each person who participates in the race will receive both a branded toque and running gloves to help keep them warm. Everyone who gets involved as a runner, spectator, or volunteer and who brings along a donation of at least five nonperishable items for the food bank will have their name entered into a prize raffle, which has been planned to thank them for their help. Fuzzy’s Taco Shop will be hosting an afterparty at the conclusion of the event. A local printing services company will be able to supply custom swag for an event like this.
This run, which will help kick off 2018, will be taking place on January 1, and the staging area will be in the Mechelen Pavilion in Memorial Park. Anyone who would like to register has been asked to do so by visiting the Resolute Runner website.
