Studio City denizens should get ready for another round of ‘Evening of Classic Broadway’ next week.
The Fraser Entertainment group will be presenting a new cast of singers who have National Tour and Broadway credits. Entertainment Today magazine recently called it “a show that you hoped would never end”.
Songs from both classic Broadway shows and well-known tunes from smaller productions will make up the night’s program. Brad Ellis will be the musical director and host for the evening, and viewers might recognize him as the man playing the piano in the background on the television show ‘Glee’.
Ellis has just returned from a worldwide tour with the one of the show’s stars, Matthew Morrison. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston and spent nine years as the creative force behind the touring ensemble Forbidden Broadway. Attendees may wish to share digital Business Cards with fellow Broadway tune enthusiasts.
Also part of the show will be Ellis’ wife, Eydie Alyson, a Broadway actress who has been in productions such as ‘Wonderful Town’. Other artists slated to sing will be Damon Kirsche, Jennifer Foster, and Jennifer Malinke, along with Parks and Recreation’s Todd Sherry and Paul Wong. Tickets will be $15 each.
The event will be held Monday, August, 25, at 8:00 pm at Upstairs at Vitello’s Jazz and Supper Club in Studio City.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
