Valley Village prepares to light up holiday season
The holidays will soon be upon us, and Valley Village is already preparing for an outdoor event ideally suited for the entire family.
Light up Valley Village is scheduled to take place next weekend and this year's festival should attract a wide audience.
Light up Valley Village is open to everyone, and as the title suggests, one of the main attractions involves the variety of holiday lights that will be on display. There are plenty of activities to enjoy too, including refreshments, live music, opportunities for children to be photographed with Santa Claus, and an on-site market selling locally produced goods.
Valley Village residents can also decorate their homes in the holiday spirit, and send these photographs to the city council. Winning images will then be displayed on the day of the event.
Holiday-themed festivals will frequently use traditional marketing techniques to advertise what attendees can expect. Flyer printing, banner advertisements, and distributing brochures are some common examples.
Light up Valley Village is an all-day event taking place next Saturday, December 6. Live music and refreshments will be distributed at the Farmers’ Market from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Visitors can then participate in a block party located at the corner of Magnolia and Whitsett Street from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Entrance is free, and no tickets are needed.
