Valley Village to host environmental awareness event

Earth Day is celebrated each spring, and the Valley Village Neighborhood Council has already begin preparing for an event slated to take place in April. This festival will provide residents with a hands-on means to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.

Valley Village has confirmed that it will be promoting Earth Day in a rather unique way this year. While on-site officials are happy to discuss the ways in which residents can do their part to protect the environment, the event will also be equipped with a shredding truck. Attendees are asked to bring paper-related refuse so that it can be disposed of properly. The first 50 guests to arrive will also be provided with a free tree as a takeaway gift.

This festival is being sponsored by the Los Angeles Department of Public Works, LA Corps, and the Valley Village Neighborhood Council. Visitors are also encouraged to bring along canned goods that will be subsequently donated to the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry.

Events related to environmental awareness will use sustainable marketing techniques when keeping the public informed. Poster printing with recycled paper, distributing biodegradable Flyers, and creating online social media pages are all relevant examples.

Valley Village will be celebrating Earth Day on Saturday, April 25th from 9 AM to 12 PM. This event is taking place within Valley Village Park located at 5000 Westpark Drive. No tickets are required, and there is no charge to participate.
