A unique take on one of the most popular musical compositions of all time will soon be debuting in the Valley Village area. North Hollywood is set to host a performance that combines classical music with belly dancing.
This concert is being hosted by the team at Bellydance Evolution. This event will be combining the traditional appeal of Swan Lake with Middle Eastern themes. The main focus involves dancers who have created unique routines based on the tempo of the music. Organizers have put together an international cast, and it said to feature professional Egyptian choreographers.
Swan Lake was composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky between 1875 and 1876. While the piece did not initially receive positive reviews, it has since become on of his most successful works. Swan Lake tells the story of Odette, a beautiful princess, cursed by a sorcerer and transformed into a swan.
Musical events will often use a host of well-known marketing techniques to connect with their audience base. Cost-effective methods such as bulk flyer printing, placing playbills in public locations, and working in tandem with the hosting venue are all prime examples.
Bellydance Evolution will be performing Swan Lake on Saturday, May 23rd at 7:30 PM. It is being hosted by the North Hollywood El Portal Theatre located at 5269 Lankershim Boulevard. Ticket prices range between $25 and $45.
