Valley Village to host self-defense workshop

Residents of Valley Village will soon be attending a seminar devoted to learning the basics of self-defense. This seminar is open to all members of the public, and a host of practical techniques will be shared.

The Valley Village Community Self-Defense Workshop is primarily geared towards those who have little prior experience, as well as anyone who is keen to learn about the ways in which they can protect themselves from potential threats. This workshop is being sponsored by Strength United, and experts from Bright Star Martial Arts will be teaching the techniques themselves. Due to the bilingual nature of Valley Village, the seminar will be taught in both English, and Spanish.

Events associated with teaching one-off skills will often rely on tangible marketing strategies to proactively target the appropriate demographic. Some common methods include flyer printing and handing out Brochures in locations associated with fitness.

The Valley Village Community Self-Defense Workshop is taking place this Sunday, January 25. All events will be held at Fire Station 89 located at 7063 Laurel Canyon Road. The seminar begins at 10:30 AM, and will last until 12:30 PM. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to complete an online reservation, which they can do here, and they will be sent parking and other details before the day of the workshop. This seminar is free to attend, and open to the general public.
