The holiday season is set to get a lot brighter for those in need thanks to the efforts of Valley Village volunteers, and a call has gone out looking for more people to join the fun.
Food Finders works to make sure everyone in the area has food security, and its Holiday Food Box program may help make that happen. Both individual and group volunteer sign-ups are welcome for its packing day and it will be set up at McBride High school in Long Beach.
The activity, which will run from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm on both of its scheduled dates, will be divided up into shifts, and those who would like to get involved can choose the one that is best for them. The goal is to sort food and pack it into at least 1200 Boxes, and these will be distributed to those in need.
Being part of a hands-on community service project can be very satisfying for members of the public. Small Promotional Products printed with an organization’s Logo Design may be ordered from a Print shop to give out volunteers to thank them for their support.
Food Finders has asked residents of Valley Village to consider registering for a volunteer time slot. The sessions are scheduled for November 18th and 19th, and more information about the project can be found on its website.
