Valley Village plans Veterans Day salute

Valley Village is preparing to show how much it values its veterans, and the whole community is encouraged to attend a special event.

The city has set the date for a Veterans Day gathering. The activity, which is on offer thanks to the efforts of Marine Corps veteran and Senator Caroline Menjivar, will be for all ages, and families may take part together.

The celebration will be held in the afternoon, and it will include food and other light refreshments. Limited parking will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The suggested dress is casual. While admission will be free, RSVPs are needed to participate.

The final date for members of the public to register is Thursday, October 31. Along with the Valley Veterans Day activity, the public is welcome to nominate a vet from the local district for a special honor.

Veterans Day and similar events often have a special meaning for former and currently serving military members, as well as their families. These activities may take place outside. Banner printing services for a public event held outdoors can be obtained from a banner printing company.

Valley Veterans Day will be saluting former members of all branches of the nation’s military on Saturday, November 9. The celebration starts at 12:00 noon, and the location will be distributed to those who submit an RSVP.
