Valley Village class hops into spring

“Frog and Toad are Friends” by Arnold Lobal is a popular children’s story, and a Valley Village activity will use its two main characters as inspiration for an upcoming crochet and knitting class.

This April and May, The Altered Stitch will be offering those who enjoy working with a set of needles or hook the chance to get in some practice by creating frog and toad stuffies. A basic level knowledge of the craft is needed, and those who have some experience can hone their skills.

The attendees will need to know how to cast on, purl, and knit, and learning decreasing and increasing techniques will be on the agenda. The session will be offered in person only with a registration fee of $70, and a full list of supplies has been provided for making the stuffies as well as their clothing. These must be purchased at the Altered Stitch, and assistance will be provided in choosing selections.

A crafting class gives the public a way to learn a new hobby in a fun and supportive environment. Printed instructions, material lists, and other items for an activity like this can be prepared by print shops.

This chance to hop into a new season with two new, cuddly friends will be offered on select Sundays this spring, with the next one being April 6. Its listing offers further information about dates and a full list of supplies.
