Studio City dogs ready for nearby celebration

Pooches and their owners in Studio City are getting ready to attend West Hollywood’s annual Pawsapalooza Festival and Marketplace later in April. Admission will be free.

An assortment of dog-themed businesses will be exhibiting and selling their latest products and services to keep canines healthy, happy, and safe. Some of these will be Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital, Healthy Spot, TLK Fusion, Centinela Feed, and Ruby’s Den. Usually businesses at events such as this one will also have free Promotional Products, coupons and discounts to distribute to a limited number of passersby.

Carnival games, balloon art, and face painting will keep the children occupied. Food trucks will be hawking treats, drinks, and snacks.

At noon, dogs in their spring finery will be lined up to compete in the Canine Easter Costume Contest. Winners will receive prizes.

This event is put on annually by PAWS/LA, the mission of which is to help individuals and families keep their pets during stressful times. The organization assists seniors and patients with free pet food and veterinary care. Its volunteers take care of dogs when their owners are incapacitated, and provide temporary foster homes.

Pawsapalooza Festival and Marketplace will be held at 647 N. San Vincente, in West Hollywood Park, West Hollywood, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on April 20.
