Studio City area waxes nostalgic at Hollywood Revisited

Those of us here in Studio City who enjoy vintage Hollywood movie costumes will want to mark their Calendars for the upcoming Hollywood Revisited musical and dance revue.

Along with singing and dancing by acclaimed vocalists, the evening will be replete with Golden Age of Hollywood costume masterpieces worn by female movie icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Julie Andrews, Bette Davis, Mae West and Judy Garland. Costumes will also be featured from wardrobes of Hollywood greats such as Bing Crosby, Donald O-Connor and Gene Kelly. Many of these costumes were part of iconic original poster printing done during that time.

Greg Schreiner curator of over 500 original Hollywood costumes in the Hollywood Museum will be sharing some of them and will also provide piano musical accompaniment for the revue. He will also interject anecdotes about the scene, movie and designer of each piece.

A dinner buffet will be served before the performance, and attendees are invited to tour the main floor of the Mansion.

Proceeds for the evening will go to the upkeep and preservation of the Greystone Estate.

Hollywood Revisited will be presented at Greystone Mansion on the Historic Doheny Greystone Estate, 905 Loma Vista Drive, Beverly Hills on Sunday, August 18th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Since this event has been sold out every year for the last three years it would be advisable to get tickets as soon as possible.
