Studio City area enjoys classical music at iPalpiti Festival

Many Studio City classical music aficionados will be interested in the upcoming 22nd season of the iPalpiti Festival of International Laureates. The world-class festival is devoted to advancing the careers of young, professional, exceptionally gifted musicians and to promote understanding and peace through music.

In total, 24 young artists from 22 countries will perform under the baton of conductor and Russian violinist, Maestro Eduard Schmieder.

Music will range from Vivaldi, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Ravel, Mendelssohn, and Rimsky-Korsakov to Leonard Bernstein.

Two highlights of the event will be world premieres. One will be ‘Fantasia Hungariana’ composed by Sergei Dreznim. This will be a new look at some of Brahms dances. The other will be “Harmony” by Franghiz Ali-Zadeh.

Soloists, the festival’s orchestra and Trio Zadig will perform at various places throughout Los Angeles. Concerts will take place at Encinitas Library, St. Andrew’s Church, Encinitas, Rolling Hills United Methodist, UCLA and Greystone Mansion. The finale will be in the Walt Disney Concert Hall at Music Center, 111 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, and the curtain goes up at 8:00pm.

Many of the concerts will be free and over 600 paid performance tickets are being distributed to shelters, public schools, youth music programs, and nonprofit agencies.

When free passes to events such as this are given to agencies, and schools these organizations typically get some poster printing done to advertise the event.

The iPalpiti Festival will take place from July 7 through 20.
