Studio City pet lovers will not want to miss an evening of honoring outstanding pets while also supporting a good cause later this month.
The Peacock Foundation's 10th Annual Spread the News Event will be debuting The PetAbility Awards. All proceeds will go to the foundation.
Tickets will include drinks and hors d’oeuvres, and there will also be a silent auction. Attendees may want to bring their best cameras, as there will be ample opportunities for taking pictures of adorable pets—some may wish to use them for conversion to poster printing. The band Unconditional Life will offer live entertainment throughout the evening.
The Petabiity Awards is a ceremony to honor outstanding pets that have made a difference in someone’s life. Nominees were submitted via YouTube videos, and those deemed the top entries by Foundation judges will be represented at the ceremony.
The Peacock Foundation was founded by Lisa Peacock in 2002 with a mission to provide animals as therapy for at-risk children. Since its inception, over 20 community organizations have used the foundation’s services to support more than 2,000 children. The programs are so popular that there is now a waiting list.
The event will be held Saturday, September 27, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on the New York Street Backlot at CBS Studio Center, Studio City. Parking will be free for all attendees at the center.
