The Sherman Oaks Rotary Club of Studio City will once again be presenting its Art and Crafts Show, its first of two shows for 2015.
The event organizers are expecting more than 2,000 visitors this year. At least 120 artists will be displaying and selling art in the areas of ceramics, crafts, folk art, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, textile, stone, and wood. The event will be juried.
Postcard printing is being undertaken by the Rotary Club for the 4,500 Postcards that will be sent to customers who have purchased artwork at previous shows. All net proceeds from artist entrance fees will go to charity, as well as all of the proceeds from the Rotary’s food booth. Guests who purchase artwork can enter into one of eight drawings for a $25 prize for themselves and one for the artist. Parents and exhibitors will be glad to know that the venue has a fenced-in playground for the little ones.
The location will be the same this year as in the last 40 years, and that will be the northeast corner of Moorpark St. and Laurel Canyon Blvd. at the Moorpark Playground Park in Studio City. The event will be held on Mother’s Day weekend May 9 through May 10. The show will start at 10:00 am and close at 5:00 pm both days.Get a Free Quote for Postcards
