Studio City residents will get the chance to vote in the election for Studio City Neighborhood Council board members by using their computers or mobile devices, but need to register by the end of today.
Studio City Neighborhood Council is one of the 25 councils offering its residents the option to use an interactive voice response on their touch-tone phones, and Studio City is one of the 35 of the 96 Neighborhood Councils in Los Angeles that are launching the pilot program.
Voters must register online in order to use their smart phones, tablets, or desktop computers. Those who may register to vote must be a worker, resident, or real property owner within the council boundaries. Others who may vote are those people who have active and significant involvement in any way that connected to an address within the council boundaries.
Currently, the local council has all of its 16 board seats up for election. Potential voters must submit documentation that ascertains that they are qualified to vote in this particular area. This may be done online when accompanied with a photo I.D. Residents must be 18 year of age to qualify.
