Dual plays coming to the local theater

Studio City locals and people from around the area are invited to Theater West to watch one of two plays that started running last weekend, namely ‘The Claw’ and ‘Boxes’.

The Claw is about a young man named Hugo who is bent on fulfilling his father’s legacy and Christian, Hugo’s cousin, who is just as bent on winning the heart of Felicity, Hugo’s love interest.

There is also a police detective, a butler, an unidentified and somewhat mysterious young man and of course, The Claw. The coming and goings of the characters make for a zany ride, offering viewers a multifaceted view on love.

Boxes, on the other hand, is both a mystery and a journey as viewers watch young Sigourney attempt to win the heart of an influential and famous man who keeps her guessing by offering her box after box as gifts, each containing a mysterious object. The heroine is supposed to figure out what it all means, even as the audience members try to do the same, and she learns something about herself in her attempts to do so.

Those who attend either show may want to bring digital Business Cards for trading with others.

Both shows started on May 22 and run through June 28 at Theater West, in West Studio City, 3333 Cahuenga Blvd West. Tickets are $15 for general admission.
