The Studio City Residents Association, with the Studio City Recreation Center, is inviting all snow aficionados to its free Fourth Annual Winter Family Festival and Festival of Giving.
The organizers are expecting to accommodate more than the 4,500 people who helped celebrate the holidays here last year. More than 70 tons of snow will be waiting for participants to slide in, build snowmen, and make snowballs.
This year, the event will include craft making activities, food trucks, face painting, and free photos with Santa. There may still be time to get those photos to local printing services for 2014 Christmas postcard printing. A Taste of the Holidays will feature local restaurants handing out samples of their cuisine. Music will be provided by community groups and local schools.
The Festival of Giving, which will be onsite again this year, benefits the St. Charles Service Center and a number of other local organizations that carry out work in aid of children, animals, and the underserved in the area. Guests are invited to bring packaged food items, canned goods, new unwrapped toys, pet toys, pet food, new or slightly used Books, clothing, and blankets for the drive.
The festival will be held this Sunday, December 14, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the Studio City Recreation Center (Beerman Park) at 12621 Rye Street.Get a Free Quote for Books
