For Studio City gardeners, lawn keepers, and anybody interested in the environment, Studio City Neighborhood Council and Village Gardeners will host the Second Annual Green Living Fair.
This free family-oriented event will focus on green living, offering live theater, dance, and musical entertainment, along with plenty of activities for the kids.
Booths will have information on urban farming, beekeeping, tree care and water conservation. Other topics of interest will be LA River Preservation, native birds, and plants. Guests can bring used lightbulbs and batteries for recycling.
Fair goers can take home free trees through the local tree adoption program. Bakers will want to bring their favorite pies to enter the Pie Contest, and more than 30 exhibitors will be on hand for consultation and to distribute information about their organizations. Some representatives will be from Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, Greater Toluca Lake and the San Fernando Audoban Society. Representation closer to home will include Studio City’s Neighborhood Council, Library, Recs and Parks, and the city’s Farmers’ Market. Gardening will be well represented by Master Gardeners, Village Gardeners, and LA Community Garden Council. Attendees may wish to swap digital Business Cards with others at the event.
The Fair is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Richard Lillard Outdoor Amphitheater at the intersection of Valleyheart Drive and Longridge Avenue, Studio City.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
