The La Jolla Playhouse is bringing thestory to the stage. With four venues, the organization strives to provide both local and national theatre-goers with cutting edge performances. Along with classics, the non-profit establishment also features new plays and musicals.
Scott Schwartz is the director, while Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz created the production’s score. In addition, the choral group Sacra/Profana will be featured at the event. Originating in 2009, the ensemble draws from a wide variety of influences to create a unique choral repertoire.
Viewers can see the play at the Mandell Weiss Theatre, located on the University of California San Diego's campus at 2910 La Jolla Village Drive. Created in 1983, the venue has close to 500 seats.
