University celebrates the world of education

College students can enjoy an entire week of multicultural and educational activities at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), a college located just a few miles from Sorrento Valley. For the 10th time, the university will be hosting an annual 'International Education Week' (IEW).

The event will kick off with an opening ceremony, featuring international food trucks and live entertainment from Todo Mundo. Local flyer printing businesses have probably been busy creating promotional materials for the event.

Another highlight of the celebration is the Triton World Cup, where soccer lovers can form a team of seven and choose a country to represent on the field.

The International Fashion Festival and Cultural Showcase allows individuals to model a cultural outfit, wow spectators with a performance, or offer international food. To be part of the showcase, student organizations need to register prior to the event.

International Education Week will be happening from November 17 to 21. The Triton World Cup will take place on November 18 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Warren Field, and the fashion event will follow on November 19 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. On November 20, there will be global talks from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and a film festival from 5:30 pm until 10:00 pm. The festivities will culminate with a closing ceremony on November 21.

UC San Diego is located on 9500 Gilman Drive.
