Residents in Sorrento Valley and the rest of the San Diego Area are getting ready for the annual performance of the San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines.
The yearly concert showcases the talents of the local group, while also providing a venue for other top chorus talents.
The Sweet Adelines are a group of over 70 women who perform in the barbershop four part harmony style. The show, now in its 65th year, is an annual event that showcases the talents of the group while also raising the funds they need to compete in national and international competitions year round. As such, visitors will have the opportunity to buy not only tickets, but also Promotional Products such as T-Shirts, music CDs, and a ‘music fan’ fan.
This year, the group will not be performing alone. They will be joined by the musical talents of the Love Notes and C’est La Vie. Additionally, a reception will be held before the event where visitors can meet the group and their musical director, Kathleen Hansen, and get to know about the group and its activities.
The San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines will be performing this Saturday, September 24 at 5:30 pm at the Irwin M. Jacobs Qualcomm Hall, located at 5775 Morehouse Dr. Tickets are $35 a person. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
