Summer courses to attract those in Sorrento Valley area

Registration is now opened for Summer 2021 classes at San Diego Mesa College. Students and residents of Sorrento Valley may be interested in taking one or more these courses over the summer.

The college is offering over 550 courses over the summer, and is encouraging students to catch up or get ahead on their academic requirements. Students from other colleges, such as the University of Southern California at San Diego and San Diego State University, are also being urged to take courses to meet their requirements for general education courses, and save money by doing so.

There will be classes held both online and in person, with several sessions from which to choose. Courses are in four-week, five-week, six-week, and eight-week formats, with an early staring date of Thursday, June 3 up to the beginning of July. Among the core courses that will be offered are mathematics, Spanish, chemistry, and biology. Printers can offer brochure printing and other services that provide more details about such courses.

Students who are interested in pursuing four-year degrees can take these courses, and can those looking for workforce and career education, and those wanting to acquire job skills that are currently in demand. These include such courses as computer science, the culinary arts, business, accounting, and health information technology, and can be applied towards an associate degree.
