The San Diego Comic Con for 2023 will be holding the Her Universe Fashion Show next year in San Diego. Residents of Sorrento Valley may be interested in this event.
It will be hosted by Founder of Her Universe, Ashley Eckstein, and its goal is to showcase the work of between 20 and 25 amateur fashion designers. These designers will be featuring their one-of-a-kind fashions from those that are a part of the Walt Disney Company. The event will culminate in the selection of two winners, one of which will be selected by the audience and the other by a panel of expert judges. The two winners will then have an opportunity to design a collection of fashion with Her Universe to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Disney.
Submissions for the show will be accepted from Monday, March 20 through Friday, April 28. The submissions need to be “Geek Couture” fashion and not based on any other fashions within the family of the Walt Disney Company. Those selected for the show will be notified by Friday, May 12 and will need to cover their own transportation expenses and other expenses related to hair design, makeup, and styling. The Her Universe Fashion Show will be on Thursday, July 20 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Diego.
