Sorrento Valley Racquetball and Fitness will be the site for the 2013 California Junior Racquetball Championships. The event will take place on January 27, 2013 and online registration is now underway.
Junior players coming from all areas of the Southern California region are eligible to compete. A USAR sanctioned event, all players must be members of the USAR.
Sorrento Valley Racquetball and Fitness Center opened in 1975 and was sold to the current owner in 1983. It is well-known in the area for its history, courts, tournaments, players and various programs.
The main goal of the center is to promote health by motivating and providing education to members and visitors in a fun and relaxed setting. In addition to the six racquetball courts, the Sorrento Valley Racquetball and Fitness Center offers a full gym including cardio equipment such as elipticals, stationary bikes, treadmills, along with a stretching area.
Free weights and training machines are available in the weight room. Several fitness classes are offered through the studio including Pilates, yoga, and Zumba.
Start times for the first round match for the tournament will be posted after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday January 24. Actual play begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Organizers of sports tournaments commonly work with local printing companies for preparation of marketing materials needed to promote the event. Flyer printing is one of the most frequent requests as they are used with most events. They are versatile and can be hung on walls, pillars, doors, and posts to attract attention of people passing by.
