Prospective entrepreneurs in Sorrento Valley are getting ready for the Hera Hub’s 48 Hour Business Launch Bootcamp. The weekend-long event will give potential business owners all the tools they need to get started.
The camp focuses on the Steps to Startup system. More detailed than a simple business plan, the platform follows seventeen steps to lay out the foundation needed to successfully build a business. The steps include important ideas like finding a potential customer base, getting licensing and permits, keeping good records, branding, using proper marketing services, raising enough capital and more. By the end of the event participants should end up with a fully fleshed out concept for a business, name and all.
The two-day bootcamp will be led by Felena Hanson and Jessie Donahue. Though light snacks and coffee and other beverages will be provided, no meal service is included, so attendees will need to either bring a sack lunch or plan on going to a restaurant. The weekend includes a three month subscription to the premium version of the Steps to Startup website.
The 48 Hour Business Launch Bootcamp will be held on January 28 and 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hera Hub, located at 4010 Sorrento Valley Blvd. Cost for the camp is $299 for members and $349 for non-members. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
