The Sorrento Valley Town Council is once again presenting a special Halloween event for kids and kids of all ages. The Sorrento Valley Spooktacular is on the way. The annual celebration—the fourth in a row—is free, and will be held outdoors, in the picnic area near the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve entrance. The area is off Sorrento Valley Boulevard.
Among the activities being planned are games, crafts, and face painting, along with balloon animals and other creatures. Last year, a Mad Scientist came from the Sorrento Valley Children's Center to show youngsters how to make spider lollipops.
The Sorrento Valley is a San Diego neighborhood about 17 miles from the downtown, where the I-5 and I-805 freeways meet.
The Spooktacular is on the schedule for October 31, 2017, from 4.30 pm until 6 pm, to allow participants to go on to other parties, start their own trick-or-treat effort, or to get the little ones home early. Although no contest is planned, everyone is encouraged to come in costume.
Outdoor events like this can benefit if organizers work with a banner printing company to create colorful Banners to define and decorate the venue, and add to the fun. Banners today are usually made of vinyl, and can be reused many times. The printer can add witches, black cats, and other Halloween designs to make the banners nicely creepy.
