In the lives of many busy people in Sorrento Valley, the idea of having zero unread, uncategorized messages in their inboxes seems like an unachievable dream. However, the Hera Hub is looking to help its members obtain this goal, considered by some to be the holy grail of email. Inbox Detox is an afternoon event centered around decluttering and organizing email accounts.
Taking place just after the weekly Writer’s Lounge, the seminar is aiming to get maximum participation from business people in the area. The detox begins with a thorough review of best practices used in scaling back the number of emails received. Tips will include basic tricks like auto-sorting mail, but will also cover Unroll.me and other tools that can help cut down on automatic Mailing services that often clog inboxes.
Afterwards the training will cover several helpful time and energy management techniques. These include creating a few set times for checking and answering emails throughout the day, as well as approaches to reducing procrastination and increasing focus.
Following the seminar period, the rest of the time will be spent putting the techniques into practice, with participants actually working on their inboxes. Wine and some light refreshments will be offered afterwards to celebrate.
