Sorrento Valley locals are likely to stop by a popular event in nearby La Jolla.
The 7th Annual La Jolla Art and Wine Festival will showcase work from more than 150 artists.
Guests can enjoy a beer and wine garden with local, regional, and international varieties. On the first day of the festival, from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm, there will be a beer stein-holding contest in the garden.
Another highlight is Geppetto’s Family Art Center, where families can make crafts, take part in a scavenger hunt, and take pictures in a photo booth. Kids can also get their faces painted.
Throughout the weekend, there will be live entertainment including the Jazz Pigs, the Full Strength Funk Band, and Susie Oh La La. A variety of food vendors will also be on site. Print companies have probably been busy making Business Cards for vendors and artists.
Admission to the event is free, but cash donations will be accepted at the entrance. Proceeds from the event will go to help local research efforts for pediatric brain cancer. In addition, the festival’s silent auction will go to help underfunded elementary and middle school programs.
The festival takes place on October 10 from 10:00 am until 11:00 pm and October 11 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.
It all takes place on Girard Avenue in Downtown La Jolla.
