Chef and owner Pamela Olvera will be opening a new Northside Shack in North Park in the Sorrento Valley area.
This is the second location of her Point Loma juice bar, which she opened five years ago in San Diego. This restaurant will be somewhat bigger than the original store and will feature some seating outdoors. Its hours will be extended until 7:00 pm in contrast to the original store, which closes at 5:00 pm. Promotional Products can be used to publicize the opening of such restaurants in a new part of town and its many unique offerings.
Northside Shack specializes in custom beverages and creative bowls. The menu will have juice blends that can be customized or created to individual specifications. Smoothies will be made from organic products that can be found in stores in the area. Bowls will be made from hot organic oatmeal, organic pitaya (dragon fruit), organic acai, and local kombucha with fruit and other toppings piled on top. Also to be offered will be many grab-and-go food items and a new probiotic bowl made with the yogurt-like drink of kefir.
Northside Shack is expected to open in mid-November. It will be in North Park Square at North Park Way and will be joining other eateries, including La Creperie and Mr. Moto Pizza.
