Cake lovers in and around Sorrento Valley can enjoy a two-day event taking place later this month.
The San Diego Cake Club is hosting its ‘32nd Annual Confections for a Cause Sugar Art Competition and Artistic Display’.
The event allows both novice and professional bakers to enter their cake, cookie, or other sweet creation into the annual contest. Advanced decorators may want to enter the wedding cake contest.
Along with viewing tons of cakes and sugary art, attendees can also enter a raffle to win gift baskets. There will also be a cupcake decorating corner where individuals can adorn their own cupcake or have one decorated for them.
Throughout the weekend, there will be demonstrations such as cake and cookie decorating, candy making, gingerbread art, and various sugar art Forms. A wide variety of exhibitors will be present, having perhaps used local printing services to make digital Business Cards to distribute during the event.
The event’s proceeds will go to help the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ronald McDonald will also stop by on the first day of the event at noon.
The fun takes place on March 21 from noon to 5:00 pm, and March 22 from noon until 3:00 pm. On the second day of the event, an awards ceremony will take place at 3:30 pm.
The event will be held inside the Jolla Village Square Mall, located at 8657 Villa La Jolla Drive.
