New locations of Topgolf will be coming to East Harbor Island and the Sorrento Valley.
The Carroll Canyon Golf Center in Sorrento Valley will be redeveloped by Topgolf. Here will be a venue that will be three stories high with all the latest technology of the company in more than 80 bays. The experience at Topgolf focuses on players participating in games that score points in outdoor hitting bays using the Toptracer ball-tracking technology of the company. The speed, distance, and height of the ball are tracked, and points are earned based on the game being played.
Other features of Topgolf include specialty items on the menu, including top-shelf drinks, nachos, and programs that are family-friendly. Such features and amenities of a new venue are often promoted with flyer printing.
Chris Callaway, chief development officer for Topgolf, said that the company has wanted to bring the experience of Topgolf to the San Diego area for quite some time. He expressed his excitement about the potential to offer this additional form of play to the community of San Diego.
Chip Brewer, President and CEO of Topgolf Callaway Brands, which is the parent company that is based in Carlsbad, said that the Callaway Brands has been based in the area for over 40 years and is thrilled to bring these new venues to the region.
