Festival to help warm up a winter's day

The 6th annual SoNo Fest and Chili Cook-off is taking place in San Diego next month. It is a fundraising event for the McKinley Elementary School Foundation.

There will be lots of activities that will be sure to appeal to everyone in the family. The main draw will likely be the Chili Cook-off, where 40 of the city's best restaurants will be competing to be named the best. There will also be a craft beer and wine garden, nine food trucks, and more than 30 vendors who will be selling handmade products such as paintings, jewelry, and ceramics.

A selection of local bands are set to perform throughout the day. Some of those confirmed to appear are The Bed Breakers, Triumph of the Wild and Unsteady. For the children, there is the Kids Fun Fest. It will feature activities like face painting, bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, and games such as skeet roll and pong maze.

This event will probably attract people from all over the area, including Sorrento Valley. It is possible that organizers will invest in custom Drinkware that can be purchased in the beer and wine garden.

The event will be held at 32nd and Thorn in San Diego on December 6 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Admission is free, although a chili bowl with five tastings is available for $20. Visit the official website to find out more.
